Rebecca Flores-Amado, today lives in Cranston, Rhode Island. She
was born in New York City, raised in the South Bronx, and is of Puerto Rican
ancestry. She has been a model, is a member of the Barros Center for the
Arts, the RI Black Heritage Society, the Puertoriquenos Unidos, Inc., and
the Rhode Island Commission on Women's Cultural Plurism. She is a
graduate of the Cranston Citizens Police Academy and owns RFA Publications.
Rebecca is also a co-founder of a co-op gallery in Onset Community
on Cape Cod with her tutor Matt Barros. She hosts a television program
called "Now's The Time" and was nominated for the Alan Shawn Feinstein Merit
Award for outstanding community service. She teaches art at the Onset
Bay Gallery as well as inspiring the younger generations to challenge life.
