BASIC EVENT INFO:
Cuts for a Cure is a Carnival Fundraiser and Concert with proceeds
to benefit the American Cancer Society
Expected activities at the event include Face Painting, Henna Designs, Pony
Rides, a Petting Zoo, a Silent Auction, Regal Reptiles, Moon Walks, a dunk
tank and more.
Musical performances have been donated by Matt Cusson, Makio, Rebel Riders,
Baylock, Fred Shafer, Louie Bello (featuring Malik Williams & Lisa Bello)
Mr. J. Medeiros (of the Procussions), Tama Girard (featuring Slam G and Spogga)
from 1pm until 9pm.
The event starts Saturday, August 2nd at NOON, Foxfield Plaza, 369 Central
Street, Foxboro, MA.

A philanthropist who wishes to remain unnamed has agreed to match the money
raised dollar for dollar up to $25,000.
DEEPER STORY: Christina Elfar, a 24 year old entrepreneur who
grew up in Wrentham but today lives in Pawtucket, felt she had to do something
to help in the fight against cancer. She began her own quiet event
called "Cuts for a Cure" to raise money using her Bella Nova salon in
Foxboro. As word spread about what she was planning to do, people
volunteered their time to help and what began as a kind of 'haircut for cancer
project' became a 'Carnival for Cancer Event' as others donated their time,
talent, services, products, refreshments and more. The event has grown
far beyond what she expected, and all for a good cause.
At this point, it's a matter of spreading the word to raise money and
attention.
